Robert J. Carter, Jr., age 62, went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2013. As he took his last breaths, he called out "Jesus!" with his hands raised high and his eyes fixed on heaven. Robert was born on March 31, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. He enjoyed sharing his passion and love for Jesus with everyone he met.
Robert is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruth Carter; daughters, Amber Johnsen and husband Elliott, Kayla Moilanen and husband Michael; grandchildren, Audrey, Joshua and Kasen; siblings, Arthur, Stewart and Star Lee. Robert will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends.
He will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
