

Robert Lopez Gonzalez, Sr. (Beto) born on June 5, 1926 to Julian and Isidra Lopez Gonzalez in San Antonio, TX passed away on June 5, 2012 at the age of 86. He married his sweetheart Marina Capuchino on December 5, 1946. Mr. Gonzalez was an Army Veteran in WWII, service period from 1944-1946 as an automobile painter and rifle marksman. He worked as a skilled craftsman of handmade signs for businesses. He spent many years caring for his garden. His favorite destination for travel was Lake Charles, Louisiana to reminisce on old times and have a bowl of shrimp gumbo. He was a dedicated member and volunteer for San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church. His humor was contagious and the biggest smile on Robert’s face was seen in the presence of his grandchildren. bHe is preceded in death by his wife, Marina Capuchino Gonzalez (1987), his siblings Alicia Rivera (2002) and Abelardo Gonzalez (2010). Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his children, Robert Gonzalez, Jr., Emilia Garcia (Martin), Roy Gonzalez, Larry Gonzalez, (Mary), Sandra Gonzalez, Abel Gonzalez, Julian Gonzalez (Jeanette) and Helen Rivas (Transito); also, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Julian L. Gonzalez, Josephine Whitcher, Celia G. Rodriguez and Olivia Zavala. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart from the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 for a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Ft.
