Bob graduated from TMI and Texas A & M. In the Cadet Corps, he was a Major on the first Regimental Staff.
Bob was a dedicated attendee of A & M reunions and a generous contributor to the A & M Former Students Association.
While serving his country in the US Army, he was assigned to the White Sands Proving Grounds at Holliman AFB.
He was a member of the Ross Volunteers and the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi Fraternities. Bob worked for the Texas Hwy Department before becoming involved with the family business, Killian House Company.
His interests included music, sailing, flying, and literature.
Survivors: wife, Vivian Killian; children, Robert Killian, Jamie Bloodsworth, Jenny Jones, Molly Killian and Maverick Killian; Vivian's four children; seven grandchildren; and Vivian's nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren who called Bob grandpa; brothers, John Killian and Richard Killian and their families; longtime friend Dr. Bubba Horner and friends at Lake Canyon Yacht Club.
