Robert Lewis Perkins

Robert was born July 4, 1953, in El Paso, Texas to Martha Flint Perkins-Stringer and his stepfather Burney Perkins.

Robert married Cher in 1984 and one child, Chant Perkins, was born in 1991 from their union. Robert professed his life to Christ as a youth in Alabama. Robert joined River City Community Church in 2002 and enjoyed worshipping the Lord. Robert enjoyed participating in the Men's sports team until his health prevented him in 2017.

Robert enjoyed playing Tennis and working with training his son Chant in tennis and other life activities. He enjoyed caring for and spending time with his family, laughing and joking with everyone he met. Robert was a devoted father, husband, life mate and friend, always concerned and helping others. "To know Robert was to love him."

Robert leaves behind his son, Chant; life mate, Cher; cherished niece Sharon Capers; multiple nieces and nephews, and a host of great-nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his loving memory.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Porter Loring Mortuary North on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
