

Robert Louis Roda, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his home in San Antonio, Texas. Born on February 28, 1943 in Oglesby, Illinois where he entered the Air Force at age 17 for a 20 year career that consisted of playing French horn in the Air Force band, operating as a special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and publishing the base paper with Public Affairs. After retirement from the military, Robert was a USPS letter carrier for ten years in Dayton, Ohio. He then moved to Texas to begin his next career with the state of Texas as an investigator with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, from which he retired in 2007. Robert then began his most rewarding career as a Santa Claus, giving and receiving tremendous joy for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lucille Roda. Robert is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Joyce Roda; brother, Larry Roda; daughter, Sheila Roda-Osborne; son, Robert Roda Jr.; grandchildren, Emily Osborne, Robert A Roda, Laura Roda and Ian Roda.
