Robert Rodriguez, 57, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 21, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, Robert lived a life defined by hard work, dedication to family, and an unwavering commitment to his values.
For over three decades, Robert worked as a composite technician with Turbo Mach, beginning his career there in 1989. His strong work ethic and reliability made him a respected figure among his colleagues. He took pride in his craft and approached each day with the same diligence and integrity that he carried into all aspects of his life.
Robert was a man who valued simplicity. He embodied the very definition of a "simple man"—one who preferred to take life as it came, without unnecessary complications or fuss. He was funny and easygoing, always bringing laughter and warmth to those around him. His honesty and commitment to his loved ones were unwavering, making him not only a devoted husband and father but also a cherished friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Alice Rodriguez; his son, Robert "Monkey" Rodriguez Jr.; his daughters, Leslie Ann Rodriguez and Leticia (Aaron) Leija; his sister, Laura (Ray) Ibarra; his brothers, Macario Silva Jr. (Tina) and Quincy Silva (Genevieve); and his mother, Gloria Martinez. Robert was also a proud grandfather to Alana Garcia, Roque Mendez Jr., Noah Wilson, Avan Leija, Caleb Wilson, Alina Leija, and Aaron "AJ" Leija. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather Macario Silva Sr. and father-in-law Tomas Rodriguez.
Robert's faith played an important role in his life. He worshipped at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, Texas, where he found strength and community. His journey with Mary Alice began at St. Jude Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas, where they were married—a union that stood as a testament to love and devotion.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough in San Antonio, Texas with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 P.M.
A procession will leave Porter Loring Mortuary at 9:45 A.M. on Friday, March 14, 2025 with a Mass being held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes at 11:00 A.M.
Robert’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and friends. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
