Robert August Schmidt Jr.

Robert August Schmidt, Jr. passed away on November 21, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 16, 1922 in San Antonio, to Robert August Schmidt, Sr. and Annie Ruth Lee Schmidt. Robert was preceded in death by the love of his life, Frances M. Schmidt. He is survived by his daughter, Roe Ann Stubbs and her husband Larry; and son, Bobby Dale Schmidt and his wife Kathy; five grandchildren – one of whom preceded him in death and six great-children – two of whom preceded him in death.

Robert was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 70 years. He retired from the Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio, Texas.

SERVICES

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener, San Antonio, Texas 78240. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, with Army Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Vitas Hospice in San Antonio, Texas or the charity of your choice in Robert’s name.
