He loved God, his family and being Irish. Robert was a member of the Irish Cultural Society and held the positions of President and Treasurer. He was proudly named Irishman of the Year in 2008. He was also a member of the Harp and Shamrock Society.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca D. Slattery; sons, Tim Slattery and wife, Barbara; Mike Slattery and wife, Diane; James Slattery and wife, Susie; daughters, Karen Gray and husband, Mike; Donna Hewlett and husband, D.R.; step-sons, Dennis Bartos and wife, Diana; Dale Bartos and wife, Tracy; step-daughter, Carla Shuffield and husband Jack; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Don King and wife, Wendy and Pat Slattery and wife, Legia.
