Robert Aaron Walton

Robert Aaron Walton, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2009, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Born in Decatur, Alabama, in 1931, Bob joined the US Air Force at the age of 17, proudly serving his country for 20 years, retiring as a SMSgt. He continued his civilian life as a Systems Analyst, the ultimate computer geek. Bob was a faithful congregant of Coker United Methodist Church and a longtime member of the Charles W. Anderson Lodge #1413 AF&AM. He thrived on lodge activities and brotherly camaraderie. Bob was a very caring and loving son, husband, father and grandfather. His strong caring and loving spirit will endure beyond his mortal life with all who were blessed to know him. He leaves behind a loving wife of 55 years, Reba S. Walton; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jon Householder of Kansas City; son, Joseph Walton of San Antonio; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of Bob's friends for the many calls, visits and prayers. They meant more than words can express.
