Robin Lyn Mleczko was born beneath the California sun in Torrance on October 19, 1956, and from the very beginning, her life carried the spirit of open skies, long roads, and boundless love. She was never meant to stay in one place for too long. Her story would stretch across oceans, continents, and generations, carried forward by courage, curiosity, and a heart that always knew where home was.
She lived in California, Nevada, Germany, the Philippines, Colorado, and Texas, each place another verse in a life song written in resilience and grace. She worked for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas and later in Manila, where her laughter and warmth crossed cultures and distances. No matter where she stood, she had a way of making the unfamiliar feel familiar, and the distant feel close.
But her truest home was never a place. It was her family.
She was the loving wife of Martin Mleczko Sr. of Schertz, Texas, her steady companion through life’s winding highways. She was the proud mother of Martin Mleczko Jr., Walter Mleczko II, and Tyler Mleczko, and stepmother to Candy Ramirez and Terrance Mleczko. Her children were her greatest adventure, her deepest roots, and her proudest legacy.
Her love grew even wider through her grandchildren, Ryan, Aden, Ethan, Braylen, Sebastian, and Theodore, and her great-grandchild, Archer. In their laughter, their strength, and their lives, her melody carries on.
She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Cash, and her loyal dog, Dexter, who never left her side.
She now reunites with those who went ahead of her. Robin’s parents, Charlotte Hughes and Ernie Cash, and her siblings Michael, Daniel, Cynthia, and Timothy, no doubt greeted with open arms and familiar smiles.
Robin retired in 2001, but retirement never slowed her spirit. She became the quiet center of her family’s universe, the one who made sure everyone was safe, grounded, and never alone. She didn’t need recognition. Her purpose lived in the everyday moments, the phone calls, the sacrifices, small gifts of love, and the unwavering presence that held everything together.
She was strong in ways that didn’t need to be spoken. She loved in ways that didn’t need to be explained.
On February 9, 2026, her journey carried her beyond the horizon.
Robin’s life was like a favorite song, steady, beautiful, and unforgettable. Though her voice is now carried on the wind, it remains in every sunset, every open road, and every heart she shaped along the way. It returns in quiet moments, like a familiar melody you never forget.
Services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home in San Antonio. She will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
