Rogelio Calderon Fonseca, was called to the Lord on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 57. He was born on July 28, 1966 to Samuel C. and Mary Louise C. Fonseca of San Antonio, Texas. He was a happy go lucky child with a fierce curiosity for life.
He spent his early life learning many trades such as truck driving, butchering, construction, plumbing and many more. He was the life of the party in his young adult years and made many friends along the way. He enjoyed playing cards, carpentry, traveling, fishing and watching the Dallas Cowboys games. He loved spending time with his family and was well known for his bar-b-que at family gatherings. In 2015 when he was diagnosed with liver failure, he fought along side his doctors to beat it. With God's grace, he was a recipient of a liver transplant only a year later which allowed all of us who loved him so dearly, an additional 8 years to cherish with him. He called those 8 years, his second life and he treated every day as if it were his last. "Nariz" , as his friends called him, lived many lives and had many jobs but his greatest accomplishment-in his words- was being a PoPo. He loved his grandkids dearly and never missed an opportunity to show them that love.
He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel C. Fonseca and sister, Anna Fonseca
