Rogelio Ernesto Lopez

Rogelio Ernesto Lopez, age 41, entered eternal life on Friday, March 4th in San Antonio, Texas after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will strive to honor his memory by living their lives to the fullest. Born on October 23rd in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico to parents, Ernesto Lopez Lopez and Sandra Margarita Gonzalez Chavez. He was a graduate of Louis W. Fox Technical High School (class of 1998) and upon graduation attended San Antonio College. Rogelio was a driven professional who remained dedicated to his work as a District Manager with Ace Cash Express. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 25 years, Leonor Antonia Diaz; daughter, Brianna Marie Lopez-Pea (Jesse John Pea III); son, Sebastian Alexander Lopez; paternal grandfather, Ramiro Lopez Lopez; maternal grandmother, Margarita Chavez De Gonzalez; father, Ernesto Lopez Lopez; mother, Sandra Huerta (Jerry Huerta); sister, Ana Laura Lopez (Reynaldo Rocha Jr.); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rogelio will be remembered as a loving husband and father, exceptional son and brother, a hardworking individual whose attention to detail distinguished his personality. His charisma allowed him to build lifelong friendships throughout his life. Above all, Rogelio will be known as a warrior who fearlessly fought to continue his earthly stay alongside his family until called home by the Lord. He will be missed by all who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 17th, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.
