Roger Castillo, born September 6, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2025 at the age of 62. Known for his warm spirit, generous heart, and a love for life that was contagious, Roger was deeply loved by all and will be missed beyond measure.
Roger spent his life spreading kindness wherever he went. With a heart of gold and an easy smile, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued, and seen. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or a moment, he left an impression you wouldn’t forget.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clemente & Virginia Castillo; brother, Clemente Castillo Jr and sister, Mary Olivo.
He is survived by his four sisters, nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
An avid pool player, Roger could often be found behind a cue stick, chalking up and lining the perfect shot. He had a passion for the game, not just for the skill it required, but for the friendships and memories made around the table. He was also a loyal sports fan—football and baseball were his favorites. He rooted for the Dallas Cowboys with pride and never missed a chance to cheer on the San Antonio Spurs, celebrating their wins like they were his own.
More than anything, Roger loved his family. He was truly an inspiration, genuine, humble, kind, loving, caring and a gentleman always. He was always putting others before himself, and never hesitating to lend a helping hand or listening ear.
A visitation for Roger will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Trevino, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio. Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
