On Wednesday November 21st 2007, Ronald Allen Ramey went to be with the Lord after a battle with cancer. He was born in Tomahawk, Kentucky on October 11th, 1946 and grew up in Columbus, Ohio where he was a High school star basketball player.
He served one tour in Vietnam with the United States Army's First Cavalry Division. Ron was a brick mason and builder in Houston and San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife Mirt Ramey; two sons, Chris Masker and Austin Ramey; three grandsons, Bailey, Gavin and Nolan; his brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Kathleen Ramey of Boerne; sister, Lucy Ramey of San Antonio; numerous nieces and nephews and countless dear friends.
Ron was known for his love for Christ, his family, and friends. He never met a stranger and exemplified true selflessness.
Visitation will be Monday, November 26th from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
