Rosa Maria G. Benavides

With love and respect, we mark the passing of Rosa Maria G. Benavides on March 21, 2025, at the age of 84. Rosa Maria was a strong, independent woman with a clear sense of self and purpose. She was thoughtful and lived life on her own terms. A lifelong learner and free spirit, she found joy in experiences that reflected her curious nature. She had a deep love for traveling, spending time at the beach, and the adventures of camping and fishing. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, antique shopping, and painting. Her strength, determination, and presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ernesto, and Rosa Gonzalez.

Rosa Maria leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her son, Ross Anthony Benavides, his wife LeAnne Benavides, and their son, Ethan Philip Benavides; her daughter, Ruth Adrienne Benavides Frost, and her children, Clayton Kevin Wiegel and Caitlyn Rose Wiegel; her son, Ralph Rene Benavides; and her daughter, Roseanne Merriman. She is also survived by her siblings, Leticia Zavala, Margarita Jensen, and Jose Ernesto Gonzalez, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched.

Her memory will live on through those she loved and the lives she influenced.
