Her parents, Isaac B. Avila and Julia D. Avila and her siblings, Doria Avila, Corina Cano and Julia Loredo all preceded her in death.

Tatum all from San Antonio and Roberto J. Cavazos from Dallas. She was the proud grandmother of Nicole Salinas Czelusta, Brian Thomas Salinas (deceased) Garrett Anthony Tatum, Anelise Avila Tatum, Robert Thomas Cavazos and Marissa Yvonne Cavazos.

Our mother enjoyed dancing her whole life, partnering with her brother at age four and on through her teens at the social club dances in the Rio Grande Valley during the Big Band Era.
Her love of dance continued with her constant support of her brother's and daughter's professional dance careers in New York City and dance studio productions in McAllen and in San Antonio.
After graduating from Donna High School in 1946, where she enjoyed being a drum majorette in the marching band, and Durham Business School, Rosalinda embarked on a 25 year career as a secretary.
She enjoyed travelling to be with family and was supportive not only at a baseball game or a dance recital, but mostly as a trusted confidant with a loving heart and an encouraging word.
Rosalinda will be remembered as a woman of steadfast faith, enduring love and her kind, gentle spirit to all who met her.
The family acknowledges the love and support of her long time caregiver, Maria Marquez.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 25th at Porter Loring on McCullough.
