Rosalinda Garcia entered into her eternal rest on October 20, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on February 6, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to Elida Amaya and Jose Madrigal Cordova. She is leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and family that will forever be cherished.
Rosalinda was a hardworking and dedicated mother of three, whose greatest joy in life was raising her children and ensuring they were well cared for. She loved to dance and was always ready to celebrate life’s moments, whether hosting family gatherings or joining in on special occasions. Rosalinda had a deep appreciation for mariachi music, often filling her home with its joyful sound. Her baking talents were a gift to her family—her cakes were made with care and love, each one a sweet reminder of her thoughtfulness.
Holidays were especially meaningful to Rosalinda. She cherished having her family together, and even as her sons grew older, she made it a point to remind them to come home and enjoy her famous turkey. She took great pride in preparing it each year, spending hours carefully shredding it—a true labor of love that became a family tradition.
Rosalinda will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Elida and Jose Cordova; and sister, Sylvia Cordova.
Rosalinda will be remembered by her sons, Jose E. Garcia (Sandra), Michael R. Garcia (Christina), and Daniel A. Garcia (Anabella); sisters, Perla Critzer (Lonnie), Yolanda Cordova, and Olga Esquivel (Manuel_; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Her memory will live on through the traditions she created, the lessons she taught, and the love she poured into every moment of her life.
A visitation for Rosalinda will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM with the interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
