Rosalydia Weis

Lydia Weis, Age 74, of San Antonio passed away peacefully during an afternoon nap on Friday, January 6, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rafael Gaitan, Sr. of Edinburg, TX, and two brothers, Rafael Gaitan Jr. and Rodolfo Gaitan.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Leroy Weis; daughter Deborah Weis (Kent Froelund); son, Eric Weis (Tanya), four grandchildren and four sisters, Dahlia Sarraf, Dolores Alaniz, Tina de los Santos, and Enriquetta Gaitan.

Lydia was a Cum Laude graduate from Pan Am University and later attained a Master's degree from UTSA.

She was a dedicated school teacher of 20 years, a prized ballroom dancer, an animal advocate, and she took her utmost pride in being a loving and devoted mother / grandmother.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough. A public rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.
