Rosana Marie Munoz

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 30, 1957, to Judith & Charles DeLeon II. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Michael Munoz of San Antonio; her 4 precious children Sheila (Travis) Garcia Bence, Hector (Angel) Garcia Jr., Jacob (Alisha) Munoz and Rose (Jason) Merrell; 14 grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sister in laws, several cousins and numerous loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents, Judith Birmingham Fischer and Charles DeLeon II, her mother and father-in-law, Isaac L. Munoz and Santa Anita Munoz.

Rosana spent her youth in the St. Patrick’s Parish and worked many years at her grandparents store, Chas Super Market on Pine Street. She loved to dance and liked all kinds of music. After marriage she became a homemaker. She was known for her love of the holidays with her family, and she enjoyed numerous festivities during San Antonio Fiesta. She loved her husband with all her heart and fought hard to stay just a little longer by his side. She was immensely proud of her children and their accomplishments. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

A visitation for Rosana will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A rosary will occur Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A graveside service will occur Monday, September 19, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
