Rosemarie Valdez

Rosemarie Valdez, 79, of San Antonio, Texas died at 7 AM, January 3, 2015 at her home. She was born April 21, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Albert and Lilia Arrington. She was married to Theodoro “Ted” R. Valdez for 62 years and he survives.

Also surviving are her children: Theodore “Ted” Valdez II, Denise “Dee-Dee” Valdez, Deborah Ann Savage, Michael Valdez and Yvette Rose Allan. Grandchildren: Theodore “Ted” Marshall Valdez III, Melicia Valdez, Heather Rose Valdez, Michelle Savage, Noah Dlugoszewski, Trevor John Allan, Melissa Naomi Allan and Seth Everette Allan. Great grandchildren: Megan Claree Roberts, Monique Elaine Roberts, Mikolai Quinten Roberts, Mia Marie Valdez, Mason Meikel Valdez, Alfredo Picazo Munoz, Madison Rene Munoz, Corie Fernandez, Codie Fernandez, and Joey Karb, great-great grandchild: Justin Dominquez. Brother: Albert Arrington II. A dear friend and cousin: Olivia Levis.

Her parents and grandchild, Monica Roberts preceded her in death.

Rosie was a wonderful wife, caring mother, loving grandmother and a super homemaker. She was primarily a stay at home support system for her family. She was a true housewife and enjoyed her home so very much; she was also a caregiver to her disabled son up to the very end of her life.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor J. V. Foster officiating. Following the services there will be a gathering at the funeral home.

She will be cremated and some ashes will be kept at her home with her husband and with family as a reminder of her.

While Rosie will be greatly missed, we know she is in heaven perfectly happy, hoping that all her loved ones will join her one day. We know this because Rosie received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior back in 1982 through of a dear friend Minerva Bernal who shared her faith with her one wonderful day that changed her life for all eternity.
