After her long battle with poor health, Rosemary Elizabeth Hudson Grimes yielded her spirit to Our Lord on the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12, 2007 at The Village at Incarnate Word Retirement Community Extended Care. Our loving mother and friend will be greatly missed by her son Michael, his fiancé Rose, grandsons, family and friends. Rosemary was born May 24, 1920 in Waterbury, CT, to Earl Hudson and Grace Johnson Hudson. She was married to Walter N. Grimes on November 29, 1947 in Waterbury. Rosemary was president of the National Arts and Letters and the Gibbons Literary Club. She was an active member of the Tuesday Musical Club; St. Monica's Guild and St. Pius X Parish Council of Catholic Women. Rosemary taught music and piano at St. Pius X Catholic School and Ursuline High School as well as in her home. She directed and sang in the choirs at St. Pius X Parish, Randolph Air Force Base Catholic Chapel and St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.
