

Known by everyone as Roz, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a friend to everyone regardless of walk in life.
Beyond the love of her own extended children, she had compassion for all children by serving as a CASA advocate for over 20 years and the Comal ISD after school program for nine years. She was retired from the Daily Racing Form in Los Angeles, CA.
Roz was a selfless person, willing to take care of everyone. She enjoyed collecting teapots and miniatures, assembling puzzles, playing canasta and Rummikub, all while drinking coffee or hot water all day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Suzanne Ashman, and her brother David Ashman.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Herb Finmark of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law Joanie Wolstein of Calabasas, California; son Joseph Ashman of South Pasadena, California; step-children Keith Finmark and wife Cassie Finmark of Glendale, Arizona; Erika Finmark of Llano, Texas; Wendy Carroll of St. Petersburg, FL, Ron Dillon and wife Jeannie Dillon of McKinney, Texas; Laura Dillon of Flower Mound, Texas; grandchildren Ethan Ashman, Elena Finmark, Amira Finmark, Martin Finmark Perez, Felicia Finmark Perez, Chase Franke, Madison Dillon, Audrina Surman, Alexis Surman, and Andrew Surman; and great grandchild Easton Franke and numerous other great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Roz will be Monday, January 27, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Agudas Achim Memorial Gardens located 1727 Austin Highway San Antonio, Texas 78218.
