

He graduated from Gregory-Portland High School and soon after proudly joined the United States Army.
During his service, he was stationed in Germany, where he and his wife, Claudia, enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and creating lifelong memories together. For his honorable service, Roy received the the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
After completing his military service, Roy built a successful career as a construction project manager, overseeing projects across the country. His work took him to many places, but no matter where he traveled, home was always where his family was.
Roy was known for his steady kindness, integrity, and the way he made everyone feel valued. A man of many talents, he loved fishing, hunting, and working in the yard—but he also expressed his creativity through making beautiful jewelry and designs out of stone, each piece reflecting his patience and artistry.
He was a man of deep faith and a true servant's heart. After converting to Catholicism, Roy became an active member of his parish community, serving as a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He also participated in ACTS retreats, prison ministry, and 40 Days for Life. Volunteering with the Special Olympics held a special place in his heart. His humility, compassion, and devotion to others inspired everyone who knew him.
Roy will be remembered for his love of family, his generosity, and his steadfast faith. His family was his greatest joy and highest priority. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father to his daughter, Tiffany Leigh Dearman. Roy was also a cherished uncle who brought warmth, humor, and wisdom to every family gathering.
He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia, and his sister, Derlene Williams. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tiffany, his brother Jay, his sister Joyce, and his parents.
Roy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
