He was a loyal brother to his sister Norma Hernandez (George), a loving father to Joseph (Jamie Beth) and Angelica, step grandfather to Cainan, and uncle to Jessica (Marcus), Andrea, Gino (Bibi), Kevin, and Kelly (Mohit).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gloria, and his father-in-law, Abel.
Prior to his illness, you would be likely to spot him spending a Saturday morning enjoying the simple luxuries of a long drive and a meal shared alongside his wife. He had a deep appreciation for the richness that his loved ones brought to his life, an appreciation which was only handicapped by the Golf Channel.
Most of all, he loved his family and more than once remarked that the greatest purpose he could ever have was to raise good children to put into the world. He later beamed with pride watching his son and daughter-in-law become guardians to his beloved foster-grandson Cameron.
All who loved him will never forget his sense of humor, the endless nicknames he graced them with over the years, and the gratitude he extended to all in his final days.
The family would like to thank the many supportive members of his medical team, including Dr. Krishna Alluri, Dr. Jason Couch, Dr. Ahmad Azzawe, as well as the nurses and staff of Trinity Hospice.
The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
