

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Sr & Hermelinda Reyna and his brother-in-law, Rocky Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Manuela Reyna; children, Annette Maggard (RJ), Roseanne Munoz (Rafael), Elaine Reyna, Loraine Flaherty (Jim), Kathy Reyna (David) and Ruben Reyna III (Krystal); grandchildren, Andrea (Connor), Amber, Ashlynn, Leah, Isaiah, Daniel, Jenna, Julia, Jaelyn, Valerie, Julian (Valerie), Chloe, Jimmy, Kyra, Makayla, Milyana, Brendan, Andrew and Araceli and great grandchildren, Gracie, Jasper and Briana; sisters, Norma Garcia (Ruben), Graciela Reyna, Gloria Cantu (John), Yolanda Meza (Ramsey) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruben served in the U.S. Navy, during the Vietnam War, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He proudly served his country from April 24, 1969 through April 23, 1975.
After departing the military, Ruben worked at Kelly AFB and retired from the Defense Contract Management Agency on January 2, 2010.
A visitation for Ruben will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at Trevino Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
