Ruby worked in the medical field in San Antonio. She worked as an office manager in billingand collections for over 20 years, most recently the billing specialist at Heritage Pediatrics. At ayoung age, Ruby developed a passion for photography and used her gift as a volunteerphotographer with the VFW Post 1533 and the Vietnam Veterans of America organizations. Shealso genuinely appreciated arts and crafts. Ruby was creative and artistic, leaving behind manybeautiful handmade personal gifts for her family and friends.
Ruby was diligent, hardworking, and always busy with multiple projects. However, it did notmatter how busy she was, if you needed her assistance, she always made time to help anyonewho needed her. Ruby was a person of faith and lived her life serving others. She always putother people first above herself. That was our Ruby. The most caring, loving, selfless person youwould ever meet. It was always the little things that meant the most to her: spending time withfamily and friends, organizing get-togethers for the holidays, and of course taking memorablephotos.
One of Ruby’s greatest joys in life was when she became a grandmother in 2013 and again in2016. Ruby proudly gave herself the name, Grammy. Her grandsons, Michael Joshua and LukeGabriel meant the world to her, and she always talked about them to everyone. She had a specialbond with them and loved when they would come spend the night with her on weekends - just tohave them all to herself. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
