Ruby McCarty

Ruby McCarty, 95, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, in Boerne, Texas. She was born on July 25, 1925 in Whitney, Texas to Ola Robinson and John Frank Du Ross and spent her formative years in Stamford, Texas, where she graduated from Stamford High School. She was married to Jeff “Buck” D. McCarty, until his death in June 2008. During their 65-year marriage, Ruby spent time living in Midland, TX, San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Little Rock, AR, and Fair Oaks Ranch, TX. Ruby was a long-time member of Manor Baptist Church in San Antonio and a member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Boerne upon passing.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.D. McCarty, and son, Terry McCarty. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Julie McCarty; grandchildren, Laura McCarty White and husband, Josh, and Jeff McCarty and wife, Dava; great-grandchildren, Jack White, Brady White, Ely McCarty, Jax McCarty, Sam McCarty and Sadie McCarty; brother-in-law, Jimmy McCarty and wife, Pat, and nieces and nephews.
