Ruby Eloise Read

Ruby worked in retail for 20 years and 19 years in Human Resources for the Baptist Hospital. She retired in 1995.

Ruby was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who will be greatly missed.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lydia Lehrmann; her husband of 67 years, Joseph Franklin Read; and her brother, Otto Q. Lehrmann. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann and her husband, Kevin Koehn; her grandchildren, Alyssa and her husband, Louis Eswood, and Kayla Koehn; her great grandchildren, Madelyn Ruby Eswood; her nieces, Deborah Lehrmann, Sally and her husband, Tom Wilson, and Sheri Sandridge.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 16th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 17th at 10:00 am at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church; 308 Mt. Calvary Dr.; San Antonio, TX 78209 with burial to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery; 1850 FM 2679; Brenham, TX 77833. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
