Rudy Gonzales

Rudy Gonzales was born in Canada Verde in Wilson County, Texas on April 25, 1936 to Hilaria Montoya. Mr. Gonzales sadly passed away on November 11, 2025 at the age of 89. Rudy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Rudy is preceded in death by his wife Dora Gonzales and his two sisters.

Rudy played numerous instruments but favored the drums and accordion. He was known for his conjunto music style. He knew several local artists and even had the pleasure of performing with them. Rudy was a very hard worker. He took pride in everything he did. Rudy enjoyed doing many things but nothing compared to the one thing he enjoyed the most which was hopping on one of his riding tractors and working day and night on his 10 acre property. Rudy did this until the time of his passing proving age is just a number.

He is survived by his daughters: Shirley (Gonzales) Cominsky and husband Samuel Cominsky, Lori (Gonzales) Martinez and husband Ruben Martinez, grandsons: Christopher Rodriguez and Brandon Gonzales, granddaughters: Lauren (Martinez) Jordan and husband Tyler Jordan, Amber Martinez, Lexie Martinez, great granddaughters: Avianna Gonzales and Kamila Cazares and nephew: David Ochoa and wife Anna Ochoa

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home on November 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. A Mass of The Resurrection is scheduled for November 24, 2025 beginning at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with the interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
