I am so sorry about Judy's death, and for the last few years when she was no longer able to be her delightful, personable self. I grew very fond of her when she'd call to ask about Eloise Smith; we'd have such enjoyable chats -- not about Eloise at all! My thoughts are with you. Murray

Sorry I did not learn of Judy's death until too late to attend any of the services I visited her onSaturday's all those years at the Forum for Alamo Heights Methodist Church.

Judy was my aunt. I loved her very much and was blessed to have her in my life. One of my most favorite memories of Judy was that after each one of my babies came into the world, she was always there with one of her scrumptious chocolate pies. She had an infectious laugh that made me feel so good... I will always remember her for her generous and loving heart..

I am so sad at the passing of your sweet wife and mother. She was always so dear to me. I thought of her as one of the best mothering role models I have ever known. I wish I had seen the obituary before today, Jan. 24th., I would have liked to pay my respects in person. May God comfort you.

Mr. Keppler: Shelley, Genevieve, Robert, Jr., and I will always have many fond memories of Mrs. Keppler. She was such a wonderful neighbor when Robert and Genevieve were little. All of us really missed you all when we moved years ago. Our sympathies are with you and your family at this time as we mourn a truly wonderful and remarkable Christian lady.

We will always remember Judy as a kind and gentle lady who had a smile for everyone - even our barking Jack Russell terriers. We wish we could have spent more time talking over the backyard fence with her. Even though we have only lived here for seven years, we couldn't ask for better neighbors than Jack and Judy Keppler.

Dear Judy, 
Stan and I heard at Christmas that your Mom had been having some health problems and so we have been thinking about you. I've missed my Dad the last three years and it's been very hard without him. Our parents must leave us but know that your special memories will always live in your heart.

It is a sad day when one of the sweetest of a really large family of sweet people passes on, but that is how I see Judy's death. The family was always so kind to me and my sister; Judy's parents Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Amelia are perhaps the most wonderfully warm and loving couple I've ever known. I want the entire family, and especially Ann, to know what wonderful memories they have provided over this large number of years, and to know even more so my sincere appreciation.

I saw Judy so little throughout my life, given that I left San Antonio when I was seventeen. On the rare occasion when we used to catch up with one another because I went by when I was in Texas or saw her at a family reunion, I was reminded how appealing a person she was. Down-to-earth, straightforward, decent, upstanding, generous, uncomplaining and unself-centered. If any of that doesn't fit for someone else, just remember that people are different depending on whom they are with. I had the greatest respect and affection for her and am sorry she is gone.

Dearest Family: There is so much to say about Judy. I loved her deeply and admired her in so many ways. But I wanted to tell you of a very memorable moment at her wedding. The bridesmaids and flower girls were waiting with her to begin the procession into the sanctuary. She fingered the little pinafore type ruffles on the shoulders of her gown, and she said with a smile, "these are my angel wings". I have this in my mind: that her gown, and this bride were angelic..and I continue to hold this image. I picture her with the angel wings..Love, to you all. Shelley

Judy was the most delightful aunt, and I feel so fortunate to have had her in my life. I loved her very much. I have wonderful memories of the times spent with her and her family. Dubby

How much I enjoyed Judy's company when I visited "y'all" in 1986 at the Joyce Keppler reunion. She had such a sense of fun. Recently, I found a copy of the genealogy Judy prepared. What a wonderful gift for all of us,and for our children!
