Ruth Mott, “Nanny”, entered into rest on January 31, 2021. She was born to Henry and Effie Towne in Green Forest, Arkansas on August 20, 1935. Ruth had the kind of loving, caring nature that would draw children to gravitate towards her; this is why she was fondly called Nanny by many. She was a wonderful grandmother and babysitter having amazing patience and way with children; she would sit quietly and watch them play for hours and both parties would say they had the time of their lives. She was wonderfully supportive of her family and enjoyed attending their sporting events, graduations and weddings. Family vacations to South Padre Island and Disneyworld with her are some of the family’s fondest memories.. Ruth was sweet, gentle and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Larry Mott, sisters Jessie and Mary and her parents, Henry and Effie. She is survived by son, Larry Mott Jr., daughter, Karen and her husband, Sam Mitts, grandchildren, Ryan Mitts (Stacy), Elizabeth Collins (Patrick), Jack Mitts (Cristina); great-grandchildren, Gavin, Liam, Wesley and Connor Mitts, Charlotte Ruth Collins, Gus Mitts, sister-in-law Dorothy Mott, many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
