Her life was primarily serving her Lord; second, serving her family and friends which included prayer at family gatherings; and third, serving her church by providing Christian education and her devotion in tithing and giving.
She always said she was saved in the church, married in the church and wanted her funeral in the church. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a long time former member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin.
Outside of the church was her love of family and music, particularly classical.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 64 years, John H. Grant; son, John L. Grant; grandson, Brandon J. Grant and wife Adrian Grant and great grandson, Hayden W. Grant.
