Ryan Baxter Neuenfeldt brought an immeasurable amount of joy and laughter into the world during his 40 years of life. Born on December 20, 1984, Ryan's infectious smile, free-spirit, and widely stubborn nature were evident from the start. He lived his life with a carefree attitude and a joke at the ready, ensuring that his much-too-soon departure on January 9, 2025, left memories of laughter and outrageous humor that will be deeply missed.
Ryan was the cherished son of Randy and Cynthia Neuenfeldt, the ever supportive brother to Randy Neuenfeldt Jr., and the fun-loving brother-in-law to Heidi Neuenfeldt. He was the world's coolest uncle to Benjamin and Abigail Neuenfeldt, who could always count on him for a perfectly timed wisecrack and possibly some inappropriate advice. His grandparents, Gloria and Bob Neuenfeldt, along with his late grandparents, Carl and Jewel Peterson, all had a hand in shaping Ryan's character.
A proud graduate of Samuel Clemens High School, Ryan's sense of humor was as much a part of him as was his great love of sports. He ventured into the world of Real Estate and Mortgage Services, where he became a respected Property Inspector. Ryan traveled all around San Antonio for work and could tell you the best Whataburgers in the city.
Ryan had a passion for sports, particularly baseball. He was phenomenal at predicting who would end up in the World Series and could rattle off random sports trivia. Ryan was the life of any gathering, often sharing wild stories that sounded fabricated but that Ryan swore to be true. His family and friends were always at the edge of their seats waiting for his next tale. Describing Ryan as funny would be an understatement.
It was impossible not to be touched by his selflessness and friendliness. Ryan never hesitated to share his feelings on a topic and was certain to let you know what he admired about you. He was always affirming and had a way of making you feel appreciated.
Ryan lived on his own terms and by his own rules. He navigated life with a smile and was somehow able to even turn pitfalls into punchlines. His tremendous sense of humor was a gift that he gave generously, often leaving those around him in stitches.
The world is a little less bright without Ryan's quick wit and boisterous personality, but his spirit lives on in the laughter he left behind. He showed us that life doesn't have to be taken so seriously, and that sometimes, the best thing we can do is find the humor in every situation.
While we mourn the loss of Ryan, we also celebrate the great joy he brought into our lives.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19 from 3:00-5:00PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
