

Salvador A. Campos, Jr., age 87, passed away on December 31, 2021, in Windcrest, Texas. Salvador (Sal) served many years in the United States Army where he was a Purple Heart recipient. One of the things he spoke of frequently was the men and women he left behind in the Vietnam War. He stated it was hard for him knowing he was coming home to his family and they would not. Sal deeply loved his troops as family. After returning home and retiring, Sal went to school to become a Licensed Real Estate Broker. He then joined the Masons, where he would become a Grand Master and then he went on the join the Shriners of San Antonio. Sal was very outgoing and loving man. He loved to dance and have fun any time he had the chance. He loved Windcrest from the Mayor to City Manager to all of people of Windcrest. He would ask you all not to cry but to look up, smile, and know he is with God now watching over each one of us. His wife, Jessie Mae Campos; sons, Ray Allen Campos and Roger Campos; sister, Virginia Palacio; and his parents Salvador and Louise Campos preceded him in death. His son, Roy & wife Diana Campos; grandson, Colton Campos; brother, Daniel Campos & wife Rose Camille Campos; sister, Eloise C. Estala & husband Joel.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary Downtown, on Febuary 3,2022 followed by:
