Sal was always at our Windcrest United Methodists Mens Meetings. He went to Big Bend one year with us men. He will be missed

We will miss Sal.  We sat with him at “his” table at chapter meals before chapter.  He often brought books, magazines, stuffed animals, etc. which he passed out to different people.  He was a member of our church.  We regret that we cannot attend his service today due to the winter weather.  Tom and Diane Beckley

My Uncle Sal...  I remember him showing me a pocket watch he said my grandpa had received for his many years of service with the Union Pacific Railroad Company.. I remember him once asking if I want to go out to eat.. he said I was his favorite.. and then laughed and said well your the only one who will talk to me.. lol and he just stopped laughing but smiled and then said it's a steak dinner at a nice restaurant. He did tell me it was free and I was his one guest.. lol an invitation to some company trying to get people to invest with them their retirement funds.. lol.. I walked in and felt a little odd being way the youngest one in the group their.. and uncle Sal spared no expense.. lol it was on the house after all.. Sherry you want more potatoes...more tea.. more.. lol eat up don't be bashful.. lol he not once held back the fact that it was part of the investment companies ploy to get people there. Lol.. still honored to be with family.  Lol.. I remember he had a turkey feather in his cowboy hat and he swore it was a hawk.. lol I knew it wasn't... And didn't want to tell him.. I finally did and he said well the turkey told me he was an eagle so I met it in the middle and made it a hawk..  I remember he showed me a radio he had and said how he  used to love to tinker with making them and then he tried to reach me Morse code. .. . It didn't work.. lol He told me how he loved his brother.. my dad.. and wish they could be talking more.. but he guessed that's how life is.. and then started to dance .  He loved to go to raffles to go dancing. He said if he slowed down then life would catch up to him.. and he wasn't ready yet . He takes about his kids.. his grandson .. how handsome he was..  I didn't get to talk to him to much.. he had a busier life then I did. Lol. But whenever we ran into him . He never acted like we didn't exist.. and was always saying something.  He did say and I do remember.. I love my little brother..he is my favorite one.  Mind you he only had one. Lol.  He was a strict man just like my dad believed you had to work for what you wanted..  Uncle Sal I'm happy to have these memories..  Uncle Salvador graduated from Seguin High School in Seguin Texas.. his senior year class photo in his year book.. his ambition was noted as he wanted own his own business. And he loved experimenting with radios.. which in the new paper article I have posted he also did. My dad also loved experimenting with radios. And talked about it often.  Il post more later.. my dad and Uncle Sal were eight years apart.. so the difference in things in what they were doing in life wasn't always on the same page. Lol. But they were and always will be brothers.. family.  They also had a little sister who passed away when she was just very young.. my dad has mentioned her before.. so he had my aunt Virginia.. my Aunt Eloise.. andy dad.. and another sibling. . Uncle Sal we wanted to attend the funeral but as always you make sure when you walk in we remember it.. lol and as today with the ice and frigid temperatures.  .. we will definitely not forget this day you walked on to be with grandma Louisa.. Grandpa Sal.. your little sister and aunt Virginia..  family.. celebrate the moments now .. cherish them forever.    Il post more later.   We loved you uncle Sal..  your little brother only daughter.. and one of your two nieces.. lol..  Sherry Louise Campos.. o I forget I also would get a life lecture.. lol just like my dad would do.. . Nothing in life is free.. lol.

Sal my dear friend. * Hope all will  find comfort in remembering moments spent together with you. You served your country and your community so selflessly. You are loved and will be missed! As someone journeys through life they find a handful of true friends. You are a friend I’ll always treasure!  Love you my dearest friend……{Monica}

Rest in peace Salvador, I will miss driving you to your VA doctor appointments.  Listening to your stories and listening to conjunto music as we drove to Audie Murphy.  You were a very kind and fun to be with gentleman.                                                                 Velma H.

Sal always enjoyed the time at the VFW in Schertz, Tx. and the Friday  dances there. He shared his love for people and the country music on those nites. His favorite song, "Wasted days and wasted nites" , he loved it and we will remember him, always  with a smile!                                   Ronnie & Kathy

As a Methodist Healthcare ministries’ nurse and having my office at Windcrest United Methodist church I had the pleasure of knowing Sal and holding many fun conversations with him. He was always happy and in high spirits. A true gentleman. Rest  in peace Sal, you will be missed. To the family and friends, please know that you are in my prayers! Daniela Kulyas, RN
