

Samuel was a man of many talents and passions. Music was a central part of his life; he possessed a rare gift to play any musical instrument. In his youth, he mastered the trombone in high school and he served as the drum major of his high school band, showcasing his leadership and musical prowess.
Professionally, Samuel excelled as an electrical engineer and ventured into real estate, where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impact. He pursued higher education with a fervor, earning a master's degree in electrical engineering and completing all requirements for his PhD.
His spiritual life was deeply enriched by his love for his church, where he found solace and community. He was a gracious spouse, completely devoted to his wife who suffers from a long-standing disability. Samuel was also a devoted UT fan, passionately supporting his alma mater and following their triumphs with great enthusiasm. He was a wonderful flying instructor and was dual-engine certified.
In his passing, Samuel leaves behind a legacy of music, intelligence, and unwavering faith. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his kindness, his talents, and his enduring love for his family. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Cheryl “Cheri” Pearson; his daughter Deborah Jungman and her husband Mark; his grandkids Samantha Jungman and Ryan Jungman and his wife Shannon; his sisters Julie Cook and Katie Klein-Dale. He is predeceased by his parents; his brother George “Buddy” Pearson and sister Susan Pearson Byrnes.
