Sandra was born on October 12, 1940, in Converse, Texas, to Roman Anton Frank Rittimann and Irene Rosa Leonhardt. She attended school in Kirby and later graduated from Brackenridge High School. Her love of dancing led her to the love of her life, Gerald Charles Bundick, whom she married on June 20, 1959, at Community United Church of Christ. Together, they built a loving home and raised their family with devotion and care.
Sandra devoted 43 years of service to the San Antonio Independent School District, where she was a Position Control Specialist in Human Resources. She found joy in life’s simple blessings and was the heart and steady foundation of her family. Generous, welcoming, and deeply loving, Sandra made everyone around her feel cared for. Above all, her family and church were the center of her world.
She treasured time with family and friends, especially during lake outings, holiday celebrations, card games, puzzle sessions around the table, and spirited rounds of Spinners, Pictionary, and Phase 10. She also looked forward to her weekly gatherings with friends for Hand and Foot card games. As a hardcore Spurs fan, she enjoyed watching games with her family until the end and is now cheering them on from the best seat in the house. A talented pianist and devoted member of her church choir, Sandra shared her faith and love of music with those around her.
Sandra was a devoted Christian whose faith remained steadfast until the very end. She faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength, grace, and unwavering trust in God. No matter how difficult the journey became, she never stopped fighting and never lost her deep love for her faith.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Roman Anton Frank Rittimann and Irene Rosa Leonhardt, and by her son, Michael Bundick.
