You were a loved and loving member of Scottsdale Chapter 43,OES. My sympathy to your family.

To Sandy's family, Sandy and I were in Job's Daughters, Bethel #7, in Scottsdale, AZ many years ago. I have not lived in Scottsdale for over 40 years, but my family is still there. My sister keeps me informed of people I know. I was so sorry to hear of Sandy's passing. She was a lovely girl and I always enjoyed being with her. The last time I saw here was in front of the West Point Chapel, the year your brother, James, graduated. I had married and was living in 
Tarrytown, New York. We had been to West Point on Saturday, the beginning of June week, and had been to the Army/Navy track meet that afternoon. I remember hearing the name James Osman and thought it was familiar. The next day, we went to church at West Point. As my husband and I were walking up to the front door of the chapel, there stood the Osman family. All of us were so surprised to see each other. I see that her service in Oct. 19. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with all of your family.

I was saddened to read of Sandy's death in the Phoenix newspaper, and thank you for including her obituary here. I haven't seen any of you since the 1960's but still have fond memories of those years and all the fun we had together. My prayers are with you Ferne, and the rest of the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Fern and Jasmes, and your families. We remember Sandy, your parents and the both of you with great fondness.

I will miss you more than you would ever imagine. 
I'll miss your "front to back" or "back to front" at our meals here at Woodbridge. I'll miss your excellent knowledge of the Bible. If anyone is assured of a place in heaven, you would be one of those. Rest in Peace, my dear friend, until we meet again in Heaven.

I went to Woodbridge a week early to get get everything set up for my mother-in-law who was moving in the next week. In the hall, I found a lady asking me to help her because she was lost and couldn't find her room. Sandra came to my rescue and told where the lady lived just one room down from her own. Over the next two months I got to know Sandra as I visited my mother-in-law. She was always helping someone. She used her former experience as a nurse to help guide my mother-in-law to make the right choices to eat given her medical condition. You see, Sandra was her table mate. She helped us in many other ways. She always seemed to know what was going on in the facility. Sandra was always at the entrance when I arrived with a big smile on her face greeting me warmly. She helped me keep tract of what was happening with Nankie when I wasn't there. She always let me know how Nanke was doing, for example, if she had a good appetite and if she was having a good day. My mother-in-law, "Nankie" is 89 years old and weighs only 79 lbs - I considered Sandra her Guardian Angel and I was so grateful Sandra was there. When she wasn't helping someone, Sandra was reading her bible in the cafeteria or the t.v. room or in the hall, it didn't matter where. She read her Bible faithfully. Sandra inspired me to look closer at my own relationship with God. I may have only known her a few months but she made a huge impact on my life. I will miss her. I know she is in a much better place now and I ask, Please God, hug her tight and keep her close to you - she is the very best of us.
