She was born April 4, 1970, in London, England and lived in Florida, England, and Japan, before arriving in San Antonio in 1981.
She graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School in 1988, and attended San Antonio College. On September 30, 1989, she incurred a Traumatic Brain Injury as a result of a car accident caused by a DWI driver. She remained in a vegetative/semi-comatose state until her death.
The family wishes to thank EDUCARE for providing in-home care for 12 years and Texas Specialty Nursing & Rehab Center for her final two years of care.
Sandra is survived by her loving parents, David and Norma Shepard; brothers, Jeffrey Britt, David Alan, Darek Inga, all of San Antonio; sister, Cynthia Ann Roger Reneau of Round Rock, TX; sister-in-law, Denise Shepard; and eleven nephews and nieces.
