Sandra L. Mrs. Young

Sandra, the daughter of Myron Jack and Cora Wollan Corwin was born April 20, 1943 in Watertown, South Dakota where she attended school. On May 14, 1960 she married Richard D. Young in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sandy was a stay at home mother while the children were growing up. She was kept busy attending to their needs which included helping with homework and getting them to and from school activities and their work. She was very active in the family business for twenty years until her health forced her to retire. She thoroughly enjoyed her seven grandchildren, cooking and caring for her family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Wanda Jensen, Carol Goldhorn and Beverly Spaniol.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard Young and their children, Mark Debbie Young of San Antonio, TX, Debra Box of Boerne, TX and Barry Young of Corpus Christi, TX. Her seven grandchildren are Christopher Julia Young, Casey Kayla Warden Box, Brandon Box, Shannon Young, Lauren Young, David Young and Lyndsi Young. She is also survived by her aunt, Marie Jacobs of South Dakota and sisters, Dorothy Jensen of Minnesota and Marion Smith of New York.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.

A private interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
