

Santiago A. Casanova III, age 60, of San Antonio went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2014. He was born on February 19, 1954 to Santiago C. Casanova, Jr. and Angelita Alvarado Casanova in Aberdeen, MD.
Santiago served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, an 18 year member Alamo Area Stroke Club, member of the Holy Name Society. Santiago loved God, embraced church and life. He loved to spend money, gamble and was very generous. His favorite baseball team was the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Due to Santiago's health he spent much time with his loving mother, his personal chauffer. He was also a volunteer at Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital.
Santiago was preceded in death by his father, Santiago C. Casanova, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lucy A. Casanova; sons, Antonio S. Casanova, Patrick J. Casanova and wife, Michelle Casanova; granddaughter, Seraphin A. Casanova; mother, Angelita A. Casanova; siblings, Robert A. Casanova and wife, Sandra, Judy Ann Martin and husband, Roger, Peggy Sue Herrera and husband, Paul; two nephews, Christopher Vargas and Steven Casanova; his special dogs, Roxy, Holly and Coco and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough Ave.
