It is with a heartfelt sorrow that we must announce Santa Ramos Olveda, 71, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, March 6th, 2025 at 8:10pm in San Antonio, Texas. She was surrounded and given comfort by her large loving family whom were all present by her side in her final moments as she departed to the peaceful kingdom of Heaven to meet with our lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Born on October 2, 1953, Santa was raised on the Westside of San Antonio, and was a proud alumnus from the class of 1972 at Sidney Lanier High School, having served as a member of the high school marching band. After high school, she dedicated over forty years of her life in the health assistance and personal care services. She touched all those who had the privilege to work with her, as well as the patients who were under her immediate care. As time continued in life, Santa was given her greatest blessings from the lord, her five beloved children. She then went on to become a grandmother, having shown endless love and affection to all her grandchildren whom she treasured so dearly, always making sure she was present at every major celebration and milestone in life; high school graduations, college graduations, birthday parties, sporting events and award ceremonies. Santa was a very dedicated woman when it came to her family, always willing to move mountains to make things possible for those she loved. In her free time, she was endlessly surrounded by her family, having hosted family parties and cookouts at her house which were her favorite. Continuously being the center of attention, she made everyone laugh immensely with her unpredictable humor and family stories. She was known for being an amazing cook, making her homemade enchiladas and famous “Arroz con Pollo”. She also enjoyed Saturday morning breakfast with all her family. A lover of gambling, she enjoyed football pots, loteria, her scratch-off lottery tickets and going out to play Bingo on Saturday nights. Amidst the sadness of her passing; Santa will be remembered and greatly missed, with the precious memories made that will always be carried in the hearts of all those who loved her.
She is survived by her companion; Saul Martinez, her five children; Sons Raymond Olveda III, Rudy Joseph Olveda and his wife Laura Olveda, daughters Roxanne Olveda Mesbah and her husband Paymon Mesbah, Rosalinda Olveda Gregory and her husband Derrick Nathaniel Gregory, and Rachel Ann Olveda Presas and her husband Valentin Presas.
