

Sarah-Frances Danielle Hernandez, age 15, of San Antonio, beloved daughter of Daniel G. and Stella C. Hernandez, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 28, 2001. She is survived by her brothers, Daniel and Nathaniel; sister, Gabriella; and beloved friend, Reggie Blakeley. Sarah, a very active member of The Lutheran Church ELCA, served as an acolyte at both Christ and Hope Churches. She was very involved with the Youth Ministries at those Churches and attended Youth Gatherings in Dallas and Atlanta, Georgia. She was an outstanding student at Alamo Heights High School, a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and the Freshman and Junior Varsity Girls Basketball teams. While at the middle school, Sarah was a member of the volleyball, track and girls basketball teams. Sarah played the violin, piano and enjoyed art and turtles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Felipe and Sarah Hernandez; uncles, Benito and Peter Hernandez, and Reynaldo Castro, Jr.; aunt, Janie Villanueva; and cousin, Louis D. Garcia. Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Reynaldo and Frances Castro, Sr.; uncles, Romaldo, Philip and Oscar Hernandez, Angel, Eddie and James Castro; aunts, Jovita Hernandez, Lucy Wootan, Carmen Zapata, Anita Garcia, Irene Moreno, and Corina Cavazos; and numerous cousins.
