Sarah was born February 1, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas to Adolfo Hernandez and Sara Garcia Hernandez.
Sarah is survived by her eldest son, David A. Olivares; son, Dan Olivares (De Anne); and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Olivares. Sarah has five grandchildren- David Olivares, Jordan Olivares, Rebecca Smith (William "Trae" Smith III), Daniel Olivares II, and Katelyn Olivares. Sarah has 3 great-grandchildren- Liam Olivares, Isla Olivares, and William "Cuatro" Smith IV. Sarah is also beloved by many nieces and nephews.
Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Oscar Hernandez; son, Damaso A. "Tony" Olivares; daughter-in-law, Annette Olivares; and former spouse, Damaso A. "D.A." Olivares.
