

Sarah Elizabeth Smith, age 59, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 17, 1964, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to parents, Sara Sloan and Robert Smith. She was a loving mother to two children; Nathan Zane Leibold (born 1992), and Hannah Claire Connor (born 1995).
She graduated from Trinity University, class of 1986, in San Antonio, Texas, with a degree in Communications. She became a teacher at the Central Market Cooking School in San Antonio, Texas. She later became a private chef for high profile individuals, such as Charles Butt of HEB, and organizations across the city, state, and country. She dedicated her time to the Catholic Church as a Sunday School teacher at Our Lady of Grace in San Antonio, Texas, where she was hired as Director of Sunday School Services to manage and implement all Sunday School programs for all church school services including scheduling confirmations, plays and reenactments. She loved to travel, especially her European travels, and enjoyed attending the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts for plays, musicals, and symphonies.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Harvey Smith, Jr; and is survived by her children, Nathan Zane Leibold, Hannah Claire Connor (her husband Brian Connor); mother, Sara Sloan Heckle; and siblings, Virginia Smith and Milton Smith.
