Saundra married the love of her life, Ronald “Ronnie” Gerfers, in Seguin, Texas. She enjoyed a long career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T before retiring to help Ronnie build their family business, Copperfield Electric Co. Together, they grew the company into a thriving electrical contracting firm, at one time employing many union electricians who supported Southwestern Bell across 26 counties in South Texas.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ronnie; daughters, Melina (Alex) and Jeanice; five grandchildren, Dillon, Brenna (Jonathan), Blaire (Jack), Morgan and Tara Shea (Skyler) and two great-grandchildren, James and Grace. She is also survived by her sister Kathryne and a cherished niece and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation in Kendalia, Texas or The ARK Rehabilitation Center, Port Aranas, Texas.
Saundra will be remembered for her devotion to family, her business acumen, and the warmth she shared with all who knew her.
