Seth A. Martinez

Seth Alexander Martinez affectionately known as “Sappa”, was born on November 18, 2004 to Angel and the late Steve Martinez in San Antonio, Tx. He passed away on December 23, 2024. He was a very sweet and respectful young man to his elders, neighbors, and friends alike. He always expressed how he wanted to make his family (especially parents) proud of him, while at school or partaking in other adventures. As a child, he enjoyed participating in STEM classes on the weekends and attending shows at Lincoln Center; but his greatest joy was building forts with his dad and having family movie nights with lots of snacks in the living room. Seth was always the youngest and smallest kid in his classes, and often times grade; but he never let it bother him. He always made friends instantly and was so comfortable talking to teachers in a personable way because he spent so much time having conversations with older people around him. He felt most honored to pledge his fraternity during his Freshman year of college, eventually crossing by himself, after dedicating long hours of practice to do so. His fraternity brothers and line sisters offered him a brotherhood and kinship, he cherished dearly. Although he inherited his father’s rhythm, he would still be the first person to dance if it made a shy friend comfortable or he simply jut wanted to. That is just one of the reasons why he will always be missed by those who knew him and loved him deeply. Seth is preceded in death by his father Steve Martinez, grandfather Luciano Z. Martinez Sr., cousins John Gabriel Alvarado, and Carmen Garza. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Angel Martinez; his sisters: Chloe and Larissa; Honorary Brother and lifelong friend Mr. Monks; grandmother Yvette Miller, Aunts: April, Nancy, Tasha, and Rachel; Uncles: James and Steven; Cousins: Brandon, Ethan, Darien, Cno, Tevin; Fraternity Brothers and Line Sisters: Justin Medina, Reana, Nima, Daniel, as well as many more friends and family whom he loved dearly.
