Severa C. (Paz) Berrones

She was born in Tampico, Mexico On February 21, 1929. As a child she came to live with family in San Antonio, Texas. On June 11, 1949 she married Daniel Berrones. They were blessed with five children. In the mid 1950's they moved to California, then later returned to San Antonio. She is survived by her daughters. Maria Andrea Swanson(Mark), Elvira (Vera) Garcia (Mike), Irene Settele (Peter, deceased). 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was reunited in death by her husband Daniel, both parents, son Bonifacio Berrones, daughter Francisca Berrones, and aunt and uncle Emilia and Florentino Maya who raised and adopted her. She unconditionally loved her family. She was a strong and faithful women who loved all people and cared deeply for those in need. Music, singing and dancing were her enjoyments especially singing with the choir at San Fernando Cathedral and dancing at market square at any opportunity. Loved Bright colors and always wearing red lipstick. She will be deeply missed by her family and many that knew her.

A visitation for Severa will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 3:45 PM to 5:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A rosary service will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A catholic mass will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. A eulogy will occur Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Joyful and bright colors are welcome to remember her sparkling personality.
