

He was a member of the "Blue Band". He served in the United States Air Force 27 years, serving as Lab Officers during his 27 year career in the military. He was director of Armed Services processing lab at McGuire AFB, NJ. He was Chief of Transfusion services at Wilford Hall Medical Center. He served in the US Air Force Laboratories in Morocco, Westover AFB, Elmendorf AFB and Sheppard AFB. Lt. Col. Hill was a member of American Association of Blood Banks, National Association of Uniformed Services, Certified technologist by American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and a graduate of the US Military Blood Bank Fellowship, Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He was a member of the Masons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Edna Hill; brother, Terry Hill. Survivors: wife of 47 years, Dorene DeLong Hill; sons, David Hill and his wife, Kristie and Dan Hill and his wife, Maribeth; grandchildren, Heather, Lauren, Katie, Hannah, Grant, Taylor and Kylie Hill; brother, Arlan Hill and his wife, Julia Ann.
