

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Ewald Renneker; and her in-laws, Bill and Mercedes Lillian Clyde.
She is survived by her mother, Genevieve Jean Renneker of Cincinnati; her husband of 35 years, Bill; daughter, Coleen of San Antonio; sons, Captain William Casey Clyde, III and Captain Christopher Clyde, both currently serving in Iraq; her daughters-in-law, Vanessa Ibis of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Kimberly Faith of San Antonio, and by her granddaughters, Bianca Lillian and Isabella Marie, who brought joy to her life and a new reason to shop. Beloved sister-in-law of Mike and Lisa Clyde, Mary and Dan O'Neil, and Sue Asher. Devoted aunt of Bryan Clyde, Adam and Katie O'Neil.
Shirley was a 1963 graduate of Ursuline Academy and graduated from the University of Texas, San Antonio.
She and Bill were married in 1967, and she immediately began the life of an Army wife. They traveled the world and made numerous friends.
She was a loving wife, a steadfast friend, a soccer coach, wives' club president, thrift-shop volunteer and quilter, but most importantly she was a mother, who fostered independence of spirit, determination and self-confidence in her children.
Shirley was a caring and giving person and in death, Shirley continued to give as an organ/tissue donor.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on behalf of Habitat for Humanity.
