It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Ann (Eilers) Jennings, announces her passing on Monday, May 28, 2018.She was born on October 31, 1936, the child of Joseph and Elizabeth Eilers of Hallettsville, Texas. She lived 81 years. She was 2nd in a line of 10 Eilers children. The family ran a dairy in Hallettsville from 1938 until 1957 when the Eilers moved to Fredericksburg.When Shirley Ann's little sister, Betty Jean, died of Leukemia in 1947, she vowed to become a nurse to aid the sick. She received a scholarship to the University of the Incarnate Word and became a graduate registered nurse. She spent the next 41 years providing comfort and care for the sick.Shirley Ann is survived by her beloved husband, Warren Jennings of San Antonio, 6 children; Roger (Kristi), Rene, Russell, Randall, Rita (John), and Rachelle, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She lived a life of serving others.Funeral Information : Friday June 1, 2018 at 9am St. John Berchman's Catholic Church, Interment to follow at San Fernando III Cemetery
